Graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2020 with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. Graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 with a B.A. in English.
Experience
I taught three semesters of freshman writing and composition at West Virginia University as part of a graduate teaching assistantship while I studied creative writing. I also have experience working with students of all ages as a substitute teacher in public schools throughout Ingham County. As a college instructor, my favorite moments were interacting with students one-on-one or in small groups, working as a team to figure out what they wanted to say in their writing, and how they could say it clearly and effectively. I'm excited for the opportunity to work together with students on their writing and English language skills again, this time as a tutor! I also hope to use my degree in English to help others understand, appreciate, and flourish from great books!

Hobbies
It probably doesn't come as any surprise that I love to read! Not just "the classics", but also science fiction and fantasy...And don't we all love British naval historical fiction? My non-literary hobbies are playing ultimate frisbee, going on long walks, playing guitar (just acoustic, I wish I had an electric though), and eating burritos.
