Job experience: •Fall 2013 – Spring 2014- This past August, I begin my job as a resident advisor for an all freshman dorm. I was responsible for the well-being of 32 female residents. •Fall 2013- As a part of my minor in secondary education, I spent 65 hours in the field fall semester at Penn High School. •Spring 2014 - I spent another 65 hours in the field at LaSalle Academy, which is a local middle school and is a part of my minor in secondary education. • Fall 2012-Spring 2013 - I participated in the College Academy of Tutoring at Saint Mary’s, which involves volunteering at local elementaries during my sophomore year. I was teacher’s aide at Coquillard elementary school. •Fall 2012-Spring 2013 - I was on my dormitory’s hall council as while a sophomore in college. I helped with decisions about improvements for the hall and planning all-hall activities as well as setting up special events for all of the hall’s residents. •Fall 2012 - During my sophomore year of college, I observed sophomores for 30 hours at Clay high school in order to complete the requirement for my minor in secondary education. While at Saint Mary's, I took several education classes, including a class on teaching literacy. I also spent several hours in the teaching field and enjoy watching kids' grow. I want to tutor because I think that it would be a great job experience, and I enjoy teaching kids.
